No Nā Kānaka Resource Center For the People
When organizations come together, more doors open for our ʻohana.
No Nā Kānaka Resource Center is a welcoming, centrally located space where organizations and service providers can bring their programs, resources, and expertise directly to Maui’s community. As one of Nā Kiaʻi O Maui’s three initiatives, the center brings partners together with a shared purpose: making support easier to find, easier to access, and more connected to the people who need it.
For an ʻohana facing challenges, knowing where to turn can make all the difference. A conversation can bring clarity. A referral can open a door. Meeting someone who takes the time to listen can give a family the confidence to take their next step. No Nā Kānaka creates space for those connections to happen—with care, respect, and aloha.
Organizations can utilize the center for one-on-one assistance, outreach, workshops, family programs, and community gatherings. Services may include food and medical benefits navigation, health and social services, employment assistance, education, and referrals. By offering their support in a central community setting, partners can reach families who might otherwise face barriers to accessing their services.
The center also gives organizations a place to connect with one another, share knowledge, and strengthen the network of support surrounding Maui’s families. When we work together, we can help close gaps, make stronger connections, and create more opportunities for our ʻohana to move forward.
No Nā Kānaka means “For the People” and that is who this space is for. A place for partners to serve, for families to connect, and for our community to grow stronger together.
